From Chichester to Soho: Catering Students Serve Up a Taste of Thailand
Catering students from Chichester College took over a London restaurant and served up a memorable night of Thai food for guests which included Thailand’s Ambassador to the UK.
Held at the prestigious Platapian restaurant in Soho, the Thai takeover event saw students showcase their culinary skills under the expert guidance of a Michelin Star chef. They also worked alongside hospitality professionals, allowing them to deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests.
There was a variety of VIPs in attendance including His Excellency Mr Nadhavathna Krishnamra, Thailand’s Ambassador to the UK, as well as the MP for Feltham and Heston, Seema Malhotra.
Organised in partnership with the Association of Thai Businesses in the UK, guests were served with a variety of authentic Thai dishes, including Scallop Miang Kham, Northern Thai-Style Stuffed Snub-Nose Chilli and Yellow Curry with Crab Meat.
Held on Thursday 17 September, the large number of guests were impressed with both the standard and variety of cooking on display.
