Library Services

Well-stocked and staffed by qualified professionals, the Chichester College Library offers a welcoming environment for study, research and reading. Printing, scanning and IT facilities are available to support your learning, and library staff are always on hand to help.

Our Library and Open Access Centre provide all the learning resources, internet access and study facilities you’ll need to get ahead.

Library Services

Located in E Block, the Library provides the resources, internet access and study spaces, you need to succeed. At the heart of college life, the Library works closely with teaching staff to provide print and online resources that support your courses.

All students and staff are automatically members of the Library and can borrow items free of charge.

Library staff offer support and tuition to individuals and groups, including help with research, referencing and using online resources.

Term time

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30am to 7:00pm
  • Friday: 8:30am to 4:30pm

College holidays

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30am to 5:00pm
  • Friday: 9:00am to 4:30pm

  • Access to online academic journals, eBooks and subject-specific resources
  • Fiction collections, including Quick Reads, graphic novels and manga
  • Inclusive reading materials for students who are less confident readers or have reading difficulties
  • Laptops and phone chargers available for day loan
  • A dedicated wellbeing table with puzzles, chess and colouring activities
  • A varied programme of displays, events, competitions and activities

Open Access IT Centre

Located opposite the Library in E Block, the Open Access IT Centre provides PCs with up-to-date Microsoft Office applications and specialist software recommended by course tutors. Networked printers are also available for printing, scanning and copying.
