Chichester College unveils next generation of furniture makers at annual show
A wide array of expert craftsmanship was put on display as Chichester College hosted its annual Furniture Celebration of Achievement Show.
Held on Friday 12 June, the event celebrated all the work and progress of full-time students and apprentices across the college’s furniture courses.
It featured a wide range of high-quality pieces that demonstrated the strong skills and level of craftsmanship developed over the last academic year, as well as each student’s attention to detail.
Awards were also given out at the exhibition, reflecting the numerous standout pieces on display, which reflected the students’ individuality and growing confidence as makers.
These awards included:
- Level 2 Diploma in Furniture Making – Star Student Award: Kate Forest-Hill
- Level 2 Diploma in Furniture Making – Distance Travelled Award: Max Hatfield
- Level 2 Diploma in Wood Machining – Student of the Year: Jack Thomas
- Apprentice of the Year: Jack Bryant
- Best in Show: Willow Spriggs
Helen Loftus, Principal of Chichester College, said:

“The quality of the pieces on display reflects the dedication, passion and growing confidence of our learners, as well as the outstanding support from our teaching teams. We are immensely proud of everything they have achieved and look forward to seeing their continued success in the industry.”
