COURSE OVERVIEW
A Level English Language and Literature introduces you to a range of literary texts – prose books, scripts and poetry, and non-literary texts from different time periods, social attitudes and cultures such as webpages, advertisements and blogs. The course gives you the opportunity to develop independent approaches, and to undertake individual, paired and group work, debates and a mini teach. This develops critical understanding in analysing the ways in which structure, form and language shape meaning, evaluating the significance of contextual factors in a range of different texts.
