Level 3 Certificate in Criminology
COURSE OVERVIEW
This qualification contains two modules Changing Awareness of Crime and Criminological Theories.
This is a one year course and will support other A levels when looking to further study or employment in areas such as the criminal justice sector, social and probation work, and sociology and psychology.
The Certificate is studied in Year 1 and the Diploma in Year 2. The full Diploma is equivalent to a full A-level with the same UCAS points attached.

You will need 5 GCSEs 9-4 (A*-C) including English Language and Maths.
This course will support applications to Higher Education courses in Humanities related subjects . This could lead to careers in the criminal justice sector and social and probation work.
Changing Awareness of Crime will be assessed through summative controlled assessment (a time-constrained assignment under exam conditions). Criminological Theories will be assessed with a 90 minute exam.
