About the course

At the heart of the drama department is the thriving Technical Theatre and Production Arts Department. Lead by industry experts with many years of professional experience.

As a Stage and Technical Management student, you will support every show that we produce here at Chichester College and build a portfolio of work that is akin to professional standards. You will cover theatre lighting, sound, stage management, set building, props and all theatre making processes. The department is busy, constantly active and enormous fun. We offer you an experience in our theatre that is as near to a professional experience as possible. We expect high standards and we support you to produce excellent results.

This is a two year programme at Level 3. You need to pass year one in order to be accepted on to year two. We have a 100% success rate for students entering Higher Education and Apprenticeships. We also have a very high success rate for students going into the industry in local theatres, directly from this course. Come along at any point in the year to see one of our shows and see the work of the Tech theatre students in action.
