FURTHER INFORMATION
This course is open to anyone with some experience and a real passion for the performing arts. This includes current students. You can be at the start of your training or looking for a way to expand your professional practice since leaving training. You do not have to be a current student or have trained with us before this date.
The only exclusion is you will have to be 18 years or older on the 9th August 2025.
We are very interested to see people from all performance disciplines from acting, to dance or music and musical theatre.
Production pathway entries – we would love to hear from people interested in technical, costume, design, media, stage-management, prop making (or transferrable skills in those areas)
Once you have taken this production to The Edinburgh Fringe you can include this as a professional credit on your CV.
You would also be welcome to take part in the course again the following year.
This project does not lead to a formal qualification. This is a commercial offering and there are no academic assessments.
As this is a professional development programme you will be given developmental feedback throughout which you will be expected to act upon. You will be expected to commit fully to the production and to engage with all the processes involved with mounting a show for the Edinburgh Fringe.
The course costs £950 per person. Payable up front or in instalments over a number of months by agreement. This fee includes the weekly sessions/rehearsals and all the costs of the trip to Edinburgh (excl food and tickets in Edinburgh)
There are no government funding options for a course of this kind. However if you are already a student at Chichester College Group (any campus) you might be able to offset some of the trip costs against our student experience fund. Please enquire at audition/interview.
There will be a requirement for each participant to fundraise a further £150 throughout the year through supported adjacent fundraising activities.
You will audition / interview to be part of an ensemble company. Once you have been accepted you will be cast/assigned to one of two productions that will perform independently at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2025.
All performers and production applicants will be required to attend weekly rehearsals/workshops at Chichester College. They will take place from 4pm to 7pm once a week.
The dates for the trip to Edinburgh 2025 will be Saturday 9th August 2025 to Sunday 17th August 2025.
