Goodwood Chefs Join Chichester College Students for Sold‑Out Culinary Takeover
Restaurant 64 was bustling with life as the college hosted ‘The Goodwood Takeover’, an annual collaboration with chefs from the Goodwood Estate.
The event brought together a team of highly skilled chefs from the estate, who mentored and worked side by side with hospitality students from the college.
Throughout the takeover, students were guided through the full professional kitchen and front‑of‑house experience, from menu development to service execution.
Under the chefs’ expert mentorship, students created a bespoke, one‑night‑only menu inspired by Goodwood’s ethos and crafted using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients from the estate.
The restaurant was fully booked, with guests enjoying a variety of dishes that showcased both the students’ developing talent and the strong industry partnership between Chichester College and Goodwood.
The event served as an invaluable opportunity to work in a live, fast‑paced environment, gain real‑world insight, and build confidence alongside culinary professionals.
Helen Loftus, Principal of Chichester College, said:
“Events like the Goodwood Takeover are truly transformative for our students. Working side‑by‑side with renowned chefs gives them the chance to experience the pace, precision, and creativity of a professional kitchen.
“We are incredibly proud of the standard our learners achieved and grateful to the Goodwood team for their ongoing support. Partnerships like this help shape the next generation of hospitality professionals, and it was wonderful to see our students rise to the challenge and shine throughout the evening.”
