Motor Vehicle- Entry Level
COURSE OVERVIEW
Looking for a career in the motor vehicle industry or just have a passion for motor vehicles? This course equips you with the skills required for basic vehicle repair & servicing. You will learn a range of manual skills & gain confidence in a workshop environment and your competence in a range of subject areas is assessed throughout the course.
FURTHER INFORMATION
No formal qualifications are required, but a keen interest in the subject and a desire to learn are required. All applicants will be required to complete a successful interview and aptitude test. If you have prior automotive experience or a grade 4/4 in GCSE English & Maths you may be considered for the Level 1 Course.
This qualification can lead on to the City & Guilds L1 Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, subject to interview. Potential employment and Apprenticeship in one of the many local automotive companies.
You will be assessed for your practical skills as well as your knowledge across all 10 units.
A course supplement fee of £230 for a toolbox and an Electude licence will be required prior to enrolment on the course.
You will need to supply your own PPE which is
- Steel toe cap shoes/boots
- Overalls
This will be required to allow you into our workshops to carry out the practical task that is set within the units for you to complete this qualification.
