COURSE OVERVIEW
Over the course of three days you will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of first aid situations, including:
- Assessing an incident
- Managing an unresponsive casualty
- CPR
- Heart attacks
- Choking
- Head and spinal injuries
- Fractures
- Anaphylaxis
The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (QCF) has 2 units that delegates are required to complete in order to achieve the qualification:
- Emergency First Aid in the Workplace
- Recognition and Management of Illness and Injury in the Workplace
This course runs from Wednesday to Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm and is also available at our Crawley Campus.
FURTHER INFORMATION
Specifically designed for those who are appointed to act as a first aider in their workplace. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide first aid in voluntary and community activities.
Suitable for those whose jobs require them to hold a recognised First Aid at Work qualification or for anyone wanting a comprehensive introduction to first aid. Delegates should be physically fit to enable them to fully participate in the course. Acceptance onto course is subject to review at first session.
You can complete any of the other Highfield or Qualsafe qualifications we offer in areas such as Risk Assessment, Fire Safety or Paediatric First Aid.
Candidates will be assessed in the classroom through a mixture of practical assessments and two multiple choice exams.
Course cost: ÂŁ325.00
As part of the cost all materials and equipment are provided on the course.
Candidates should wear comfortable clothing and footwear.
Candidates must bring with them photographic ID.
