COURSE OVERVIEW
Looking for a career in the motor vehicle industry or just have a passion for motor vehicles? This course is designed to provide you with both the knowledge and practical experience required for you to progress towards employment and/or career progression in the automotive industry.
FURTHER INFORMATION
You should have successfully completed a foundation course such as the City and Guilds 3902. You will have, or be working towards GCSE grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE Maths and English Language or the equivalent functional skill. You will have 85% attendance to all aspects of your study programme. You will also be required to attend an interview with the Study Programme Leader.
If you find automotive employment within the timeframe you can be transferred from the VRQ full time course to a QCF apprenticeship. At the end of the level 1 course you can complete level 2 units which will allow you to progress to level 2 next academic year.
The course is broken down into units where you’ll have both a practical assessment and an online multiple choice assessment. The technical knowledge and evidence required will be tested by online exams.
There is a supplement fee of ÂŁ230 for safety equipment tools and training resources.
Learners will need to attend equipped with safety boots and overalls
