COURSE OVERVIEW
The course provides practical training designed to help you prepare for a career in Motorcycle Maintenance.
Entry Level is designed to introduce students to a more relaxed approach of learning to develop the fundamental skills and knowledge needed in preparation for Level 1.
It is designed for the student to gain practical experience in the servicing, maintenance & repair of a range of motor cycles. Theoretical work will be undertaken in all areas to complement and reinforce the practical experience.
Functional Skills in Maths and English will be a compulsory part of the course, along with a personal and social development qualification.
FURTHER INFORMATION
No formal qualifications are required, except for a keen interest in the subject, but all applicants will be required to complete a successful interview and aptitude test. If you have a grade 4 or C and higher in GCSE English Language & Maths you may be considered for Level 1.
This qualification can lead on to the IMI Level 1 Diploma in Motorcycle Maintenance or to employment in one of the many local motorcycle companies.
You will be assessed for your practical skills as well as your knowledge across all 10 units including an element of theory.
A course supplement fee for a toolbox will be required prior to enrolment on the course.
Learners will need to be equipped with the appropriate safety boots and overalls.
