Our range of leisure and hobby courses keeps growing, with even more fun and exciting courses starting throughout 2025.
COURSE OVERVIEW
This course is designed for someone advancing after Level 1 for welding as a hobby, or an employee looking to certificate their current working welding skills.
Their are three main disciplines Manual Metal Arc (MMA), Metal Inert Gas (MIG) and Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG), and from these processes you can select an option to suit your requirements.
The units in the nationally recognised LASER Awards are delivered as ‘stand-alone’; modules. Each discipline is taught over 10 weeks for 3 hours per session.
FURTHER INFORMATION
Anyone with an interest in welding who has also completed the relevant level 1 welding certificate.
Upon successful completion of the level 2 qualification, you can enrol onto another level 1 or level 2 to learn a new welding process.
Typically you will produce four weld test pieces that are visually inspected, as well as a small portfolio that is also to be completed by the end of the course.
You need to supply flame retardant overalls and safety footwear, a lot of people studying the course also like to supply their own welding helmet but do not worry if you don’t have one as all other PPE is supplied by us.
