Level 1
Welding – LASER Level 1 Award
COURSE OVERVIEW
The 3 main disciplines are MMA, MIG and TIG, and from this a range of options can be selected according to requirements. The units in the nationally recognised LASER Awards are delivered as ‘stand-alone’; modules. Each discipline is taught over 10 weeks for 3 hours per session. • 4 weld test pieces are to be produced which are visually inspected. • A small portfolio is to be completed by the end of the course.
FURTHER INFORMATION
There are no formal entry requirements but you will need a keen interest in developing welding skills.
Upon successful completion of the Level 1 qualification, you can enrol onto a level 2 or level 1 for another welding process..
Ongoing assessment of practical skills with a small written portfolio.
You need to supply flame retardant overalls and safety footwear. All other PPE is supplied by us.
Full cost of course is £545 to be paid at time of enrolment.
