COURSE OVERVIEW
Our dynamic Travel and Tourism department offers you the opportunity to study a range of units related to the Travel and Tourism industry and allows them to explore various avenues of work within this industry. You will gain skills that can be applied to the workplace or further study. The course is particularly suited to those who enjoy both written and practical coursework and who are looking to progress to a level 3 course.
You will also study Maths or English alongside this course as part of your timetable. You will be studying:
Unit 01: Customer service in travel and tourism
Unit 02: The UK travel and tourism industry
Unit 05: UK Purpose Built visitor attractions
Unit 06: Understanding package holidays
Unit 13: Know about airports and airlines
Unit 14: Career planning for travel and tourism
Unit 17: Heritage and cultural tourism
Unit 19: Understanding specialist tourism
FURTHER INFORMATION
The entry requirements for this course are as follows:
4 GCSE’s grade 3 and above to include Maths and English ( either in literature or language)
Level 1 completion, preferably with a grade 3 in Maths and English ( either in literature or language)
This course will prepare you for the NCFE Level 3 Introductory Diploma in Travel and Tourism or the Level 2 Diploma in Cabin Crew In-Flight Services or an apprenticeship.
You will be graded with Pass, Merit or Distinction and will be assessed in a variety of ways such as written assignments, practical roles plays, presentations and blogs. An overall grade for the qualification is awarded.
You will pay a consumable fee of ÂŁ75.
