COURSE OVERVIEW
This is a bespoke, one year, part time option, only available for those learners who have challenges with accessing a full time course. Learners who cannot access a full-time course and need a transition year to prepare for this the following year. This might be due to mental or physical health challenges which have resulted in time out of education. The aim of the programme is to support you to focus on achieving Maths and English qualifications alongside preparing for a full-time course the following year.

Applications can only be made after a face-to-face meeting, preferably in person, in order to explain the programme and gather evidence for an application.

An internal application will be made, which will then be assessed by a panel who will decide if a learner meets the criteria for a bespoke programme.
You will be notified as soon as this has been decided.
The aim is to have applied for a full time programme for the next academic year.
Maths and English exams at an appropriate level following a short online assessment. We can offer Functional Skills up to Level 1, or GCSE depending on any previous qualifications or the results of the assessment.
There are no costs or equipment required for the course.
This is programme is only appropriate for learners who cannot access a mainstream course. Typically this can be related to their mental, neuro-divergent or physical health or who have been out of education for an extended period of time, however this is not an exhaustive list and each individual will be considered by a panel.
