COURSE OVERVIEW
This course is designed to enable the learners to be able to diagnose and rectify complex faults of motorcycle systems. This is done by using all of the learners prior knowledge and practical experience gained from completing the level 2 course. This course is a great step into industry as it is run more like an every day motorcycle workshop instead of just a training workshop. This qualification has been developed in collaboration with the Institute of the Motor Industry awarding body.
FURTHER INFORMATION
You will have completed a level 1 & 2 course, such as the City and Guilds 4290, and You will have achieved a Functional Skills Level 2 (or GCSE grade 4 and above) in both maths and English. You will have 85% attendance to all aspects of your study programme. You will also need to complete a successful interview with the course tutor and an initial written assignment.
If you find employment within the timeframe you can be upgraded from the VRQ full time course to a NVQ apprenticeship. Once this course is completed you may be able to be employed in a motorcycle dealership.
The course is broken down into units where you will have both practical and written assessments. The knowledge and technical evidence required will be tested by online exams
There is a course supplement fee of £175 for safety equipment, tools and training resources which is payable prior to enrolment.
Learners will need to come equipped with safety boots and overalls
