COURSE OVERVIEW
The Progression to Working in Digital Industries qualification has been developed to help to guide learning in developing your personal, social, learning, employability and vocational skills.
Alongside this, we also allocate time for you to succeed in your Maths and English GCSEs (if needed), whilst developing your employability skills, and preparing you to make progress in your own learning practices.
Whatever your starting point, this course should help to support you in progressing to your next step, whether that be further learning, training, or work!
FURTHER INFORMATION
Students entering this course should have achieved a general education equivalent to Entry Level in the National Qualification Framework. Students should also have 3 GCSEs at grade 2 or above, including both English and maths. No prior knowledge is required for this course, but a successful interview with the Study Programme Leader is essential.
Successful completion of this qualification could allow progression to Level 2 study pathways in the college, (subject to application and interview).
The individual units are assessed through a selection of assignments, which are marked, graded and discussed with each student.
The GCSE elements are assessed through coursework and examination in the summer period.
