Level E

ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Entry 1, Entry 2, Entry 3 and Level 1 (for 16-18 year olds)

This is the first level we offer in the programme and it is ideal if you have a limited understanding of English, it is not your first language, you are living in the UK and want to improve your English to continue your studies and/or improve your future opportunities in this country.

The course concentrates on developing the three main skills in English (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening), the knowledge of Grammar and Vocabulary, and Life in the UK.

For people aged between 16-18, Maths is also an obligatory element of the course. However, this is optional for adults and subject to their level of English and existing qualifications.

Apart from all of the above, we will also help you with your independent study, employability and communication skills, and future career opportunities. We offer two opportunities to join the course: September and January.

To join ESOL Entry 1, you need to have an overall Entry1 level result in the initial assessment completed during your initial meeting with us at the college. You need to have some very basic understanding of English and a lot of interest in learning and working hard.
