COURSE OVERVIEW
About the course:
You will learn all aspects of gas safety relating to the installation, commissioning, and servicing of Core Domestic Natural Gas:

Gas safety regulations, Building Regulations, British Standards, and other related legislation

Unsafe situations and emergency actions

Gas pipework (including sizing, installation, defects, and faults)

Tightness testing and purging (covers both low pressure and medium pressure installations)

Checking meter regulator emergency control valves
-
Appliance burner pressures and gas rates
-
Flues and ventilation
-
Combustion
-
Combustion performance analysis (flue gas testing)
-
Appliance control
How will I be assessed?
You will have 2 days revision followed by 1 day of theory exams and 2 days of practical assessment by a fully qualified trainer and Assessor.

Outcome of the course:
Successful candidates will be awarded a 5-year accreditation BPEC Certificate of Competence

Courses are ran over 1 week throughout the year 8:00am – 5:00pm
