Apprenticeship – Engineering Mechatronics Maintenance Technician L3

COURSE OVERVIEW

This apprenticeship is aimed at individuals who are wishing to move into the role of Mechatronics within the engineering industry.
This role exists across industries like aerospace, automotive, defence, and manufacturing, where automated systems are used. Mechatronics maintenance technicians ensure equipment runs safely and efficiently by installing, testing, repairing, and maintaining complex machinery that combines mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
An apprentice will work in varied environments—factories, workshops, or outdoors—and may face hazards like high voltages or confined spaces. Technicians interact with engineers, managers, and other stakeholders, and must follow strict safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
As a Mechatronics apprentice you would typically be responsible for the quality of your work, using tools correctly, meeting deadlines, and maintaining their professional development. They may work independently or in teams, often on high-value equipment.
