What is a Taster? Who is it suitable for?
A Rock Climbing Taster is for anyone that wants to learn how to climb. If you don’t know how to Belay or tie your knots then this is the perfect intro for you. This private session for a max of 2 people can get you on your way to being competent to climb without the need of an instructor. These sessions are also ideal for those wanting a quick taste of climbing or for parents that want to get shown how to “tie on and belay” whilst their child climbs.
When can a Taster be booked?
A taster session can be booked during any of our public sessions.

CLIMBING SQUAD
The Chichester climbing squad sessions are more technique focused than the club sessions. These sessions are aimed at the ‘competition’ climber looking to improve further. This is an invite only session, members must have completed our level 3 award or NICAS level 3. Climbers will then work towards, our level 5 award.

LEAD CLUB
Climbers that have achieved Chichester college level 3 award or NICAS level 3 can take the next stage of learning how to lead climb. Participants will be taught in a controlled safe environment how to lead climb & lead belay and work towards their level 4 award.

What is a Lead Climbing Course? Who is it suitable for?
The lead climbing courses are designed and suitable for adults who are looking to transition from top-rope climbing to lead climbing on indoor walls. Open to ages 16+
A course consists of two separate 1.5 hour sessions and will teach you how to safely lead climb and lead belay all within a controlled and safe environment. Participants must be a competent belayer and know how to tie on before attending the course.1:4 teaching ratio
