Chichester College Triumphs with Three Prestigious Awards
Chichester College celebrated a hat-trick of awards at the recent Chichester & Bognor Regis Business Awards, organised by Chichester Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
From team success to outstanding individual winners – it was a night to remember for the college.
The awards, presented by EastEnders legend Shaun Williamson at a gala event held on Friday 20 June at Avisford Park Hotel, celebrate outstanding achievements within the local business community.
Chichester College was recognised in the following categories:
- Apprentice of the Year – Carlie Watts, who studies at the college and is employed by University Hospital Sussex
- Outstanding Personal Achievement – Helen Loftus
- Health & Wellbeing Excellence – Chichester College
Helen spoke with immense pride following the ceremony. She said: “I am deeply honoured to receive the award for Outstanding Personal Achievement.
“This recognition is not mine alone – it reflects the unwavering dedication and passion of the exceptional team I have the privilege to work with. Their commitment to delivering high-quality, industry-relevant training ensures that our students and apprentices are empowered to reach their full potential.
“I was also delighted for the college to win the Health & Wellbeing Excellence award. It reflects our unwavering commitment to creating a healthy, supportive environment where every student and staff member can thrive.
“Our night was completed with Carlie’s very well-deserved win, as Apprentice of the Year. She has embraced her training with the utmost dedication, learning with an open mind and she rose above and beyond the learning targets set for her. We couldn’t be prouder.
“I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to our local employers and stakeholders for their continued trust in Chichester College. Their partnership enables us to make a meaningful and lasting impact on both individuals and the wider community.”
Federica Bocciarelli, Careers & Employability Manager at University of Chichester who sponsored Outstanding Personal Achievement Awards, added: “From the university’s perspective, this recognition is a powerful endorsement of the exceptional support Helen has provided to the community.

The awards are the conclusion of a phenomenal year of achievement for Chichester College and the wider Chichester College Group, during which time the group has consistently maintained high achievement rates – especially for its apprenticeship programmes.
It also received a glowing ‘Good’ report from Ofsted which included Outstanding judgements for its adult and apprenticeship provision.
