Local MP offers Chichester College students insight into politics

Foundation students at Chichester College were given a glimpse into parliamentary life, thanks to a visit a local MP.

Jess Brown-Fuller, MP for Chichester, visited the college on Thursday (6 February) and spent time talking about her experience as a new MP having been elected to the seat in July 2024.

She also answered questions from the students, who were keen to find out more her work.

Frances Mullen, Vice Principal at Chichester College, said: “The students were amazing.

“Their confidence shone through, which is testament to their hard work and the dedication of their lecturers who are brilliant.

“It’s so important for our students to understand the way politics works and how their local MP can support them and their community.

“We want to empower students, helping them see how important their voices are when it comes to shaping change.

“Our thanks to Jess, who helped to bring this learning to life and was so generous with her time.”
