Chichester College hair students flourish under master guidance
Hair students at Chichester College enjoyed a masterclass from one of the best in the business earlier this month.
Michael Saunders, one of co-founders of Lee Stafford Education and a Master STAF visited the college to deliver a ‘Your Salon’ training day to first year, level 2 hair students.
The STAFs are members of the Lee Stafford Education team – essentially training the trainers and work with students to deliver inspirational masterclasses.
Michael was impressed by the students work, as he delivered his masterclass and then moved around the salon to give one-to-one guidance.
He said: “The students have been amazing. They are full of energy, really focused. They’ve got great attitudes – so I’m really, really impressed.”
The students, who were just a few weeks into their course, were tasked with creating looks including a ‘money piece’ (highlights at the front, framing the face), a long-graduated cut and big & bouncy blow dry.
They loved their experience. Flo revealed: “I’ve loved it! I found it really useful, and I’ve learnt a lot. I liked doing the foils – although it was challenging, I really enjoy learning new things.”
Logan added: “It’s been really nice. I wanted to start doing foils, and I’ve enjoyed that. The weaving of the highlights has been good. I’m enjoying it and I’m glad I chose this course.”
Chichester College is one of 12 Lee Stafford Education (LSE) academies in the UK and is LSE’s longest running college partnership, lasting nearly 10 years so far.
It has been working with award-winning celebrity stylist Lee Stafford since 2015 to develop training that ensures students leave college fully equipped to begin their careers with the fundamental skills that they’ll need in such a competitive industry.
