Generous brick donation cements partnership between Chichester College and house developer
Persimmon Homes South Coast donated 10,000 bricks to Chichester College to support construction students aspiring dreams.
The donation, which is enough to construct a three-bedroom home, forms part of a growing partnership between Persimmon and Chichester College to inspire and train the next generation of construction workers.
The partnership launched if fitting fashion with bricklaying student, Erik Lee, displaying his new project made with these some of the donated bricks.
Helen Loftus, Principal of Chichester College, expressed her gratitude for the partnership. She said: “Partnerships like this are fundamental to the progression of our students and can have a significant impact on their future career prospects.
“We would like to say a huge thank you to the team at Persimmon for their ever-growing generosity and we look forward to this collaboration developing even further.”
Gary Biggs, Technical Director for Persimmon Homes South Coast, added: “Chichester College is a fantastic institution with excellent facilities for students looking to pursue a career in construction.
“We’re delighted to have been able to support the college with this donation and are looking forward to working with the team to make the first class training they provide even better.”
As well as the donation of 10,000 bricks, Persimmon Homes will be offering students site visits, talks and opportunities for work experience on its sites across the local area.
