College group team up for fundraising mission for Children in Need
From cakes to dress down days, raffles to minion dress ups, Chichester College Group stepped up to the mark last Friday (19 November) by raising hundreds of pounds for Children in Need.
Across all five of the group’s colleges – Brinsbury, Chichester, Crawley, Haywards Heath and Worthing – students and staff got involved with the various events hosted to raise an impressive grand total of £659.47.
Each individual campus put their own twist on the day including Senior Student Experience Co-ordinator Mickey Day customising the Student Union ‘Minion’ costume with spots to greet donators.
Lisa Humphries, Group Director of Student Services and Pastoral Support, said: “As always it was great to see our students and staff come together for a worthy cause.
“It is so important for us as an entire group to support as many local and nationwide charities and worthy causes as we possibly can.”
Children in Need is the BBC’s charity and its mission is to help ensure every child in the UK is safe, happy, secure and has the opportunities they need to reach their potential.
The team at CIN raise money both throughout the year and in their annual November appeal which is put to work where it’s needed most. The charity funds local charities and projects who help remove the barriers that are facing children and young people, so that they can thrive.
