Business students raise cash for charity through work experience
Business students at Chichester College have teamed up with the campus’ ‘Shop Around The Corner’ to raise funds for a mental health charity.
As part of their work experience, they students held a charity raffle, raising £180 for West Sussex Mind.
Staff and students around the campus got involved with the chance to win a wide range of prizes including a Lush gift set and a Montezuma’s chocolate hamper.
Lauren Newman, supervisor at The Shop Around The Corner, said: “I’m very proud of the students both in their support with running the shop and their dedication to fundraising for such an important charity.
“We extremely grateful to have so many staff, students and local businesses get involved with this worthy cause.”
West Sussex Mind is a local independent charity who supports those suffering with mental health through advice, campaigns and promotion of understanding.
