Chichester College student takes first place in styling competition
A Chichester College student took first prize in a national hair styling competition, after impressing judges at the Lee Stafford Education Competition.
Zoe Scott’s creativity and ability saw her take the top spot in the Level 3 Cut & Styling category with what was described by Lee Stafford as a ‘rocking Ziggy Stardust number’.
She was joined in the top three by classmate Lucy Coluccia, who came third in the same category.
The competition – normally held in London – took place remotely this year, with students planning their looks during lockdown and then producing their final cuts when they returned to college.
Julia Williams, head of learning for service industries (including hair and beauty) said: “We’re all delighted for Zoe and Lucy.
“We’re really proud of the way they embraced the competition during what has been a very challenging time and they did brilliantly.
“They worked so hard and created two outstanding looks, which impressed the judges – which include some of the best stylists in the business.”
