Chichester College Group is number one in Sussex

4 May 2020

Chichester College Group (CCG) colleges have topped results tables for 16-18 achievement across Sussex.

The National Achievement Rates Tables (NART) for 2018/19 have revealed the combined achievement rate for students aged 16-18 across the Group’s family of colleges (Brinsbury College, Chichester College, Crawley College and Worthing College) is 85.7%.

That’s higher than other further education providers in Sussex and means it’s the fourth consecutive year that CCG has topped local results.

In particular, the Group’s A-level provision at Chichester and Worthing Colleges has performed exceptionally well – ranking 14th nationally.

It’s a similar story for apprenticeships, with CCG again coming out on top with an overall achievement rate of 74.7% – higher than other college apprenticeship providers in Sussex.

Andrew Green, Executive Principal for the Chichester College Group, said: “I would like to congratulate our fantastic students and apprentices, who have worked so hard to achieve some really impressive results across each of our campuses at Chichester, Crawley, Worthing and Brinsbury.

“This is the first year our achievement rates include all four of our colleges and it is testament to our phenomenal team that we are, once again, ‘the best in Sussex’ for our 16-18 provision and our apprenticeship programmes.

“The passion, determination and dedication shown by our staff every day is absolutely crucial to our students’ success.

“Our mission is to ‘change lives through learning’, and I truly believe we are seeing the difference we are making to our students every day.”
