The T Level in Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction -; Project Delivery for Construction and the Built Environment pathway is designed for students who want to work in the operational and project delivery side of the construction industry.
This two-year technical qualification has been developed with employers and is designed to give you the knowledge, technical skills and workplace experience needed to progress into skilled employment, higher education or apprenticeships within the construction sector.
This pathway focuses on how construction projects are planned, managed and delivered safely, on time and within budget. You will develop an understanding of construction processes, project planning, commercial awareness and how teams work together to successfully deliver construction projects.
What You Will Study
Across the two years, you will study core construction knowledge alongside specialist Project Delivery content.

Construction Science, Measurement and Building Technology
Information, Data and Digital Technology
Construction Mathematical Techniques
Design Principles and Sustainability
The Construction and Built Environment Sector
Commercial Business, Project Management and Construction Law
Your Project Delivery specialism will include learning about:
Construction project planning and programming
Resource planning and logistics
Cost awareness and commercial processes
Risk management and quality assurance
Communication and coordination across project teams
Construction methods and sequencing of works
How You Will Learn.
You will learn through a mixture of classroom teaching, practical activities and industry-based learning.
This will help you develop essential professional skills including:
Problem solving and decision making
Teamwork and communication
Technical digital skills used in construction
Planning and organisational skills
You will also continue to develop your English and maths skills where required.
Industry Placement.
A key part of your T Level is completing a substantial industry placement.
Our dedicated Industry Placement Team will support you in finding and organising a placement with a construction employer. This gives you valuable real-world experience and helps you develop the professional behaviours expected in the workplace.
