COURSE OVERVIEW
This Skills Bootcamp will feature an introduction to heritage skills and knowledge of pre 1919 buildings. The course delivery is made up of theory and practical training in flint laying, health & safety and heritage buildings. This will be facilitated at Chichester College Construction department and final assessment at Kingley Vale & Flint Training Centre. The theory and practical will be blended with some directed self-study and a health and safety exam to be completed in college. The practical will have a two-day summative assessment in flint laying at Kingley Vale & Flint Training Centre.

Adults 19+ who live or work in West Sussex and are interested in pursuing a new career or advancing their skills in the Construction sector.
At the end of the Skills Bootcamp you will be offered an interview for a role which matches the skills you have acquired during the Skills Bootcamp. This course should also help you secure a new role or added responsibilities in an existing role.
On completion of this Skills Bootcamp you could apply for:
- An apprenticeship and or further training in vocational trades up to L2.
- A bursary in heritage training (up to age 24). Led by Sussex Heritage Trust Bursary Scheme.
- CSCS Card.
Skills Bootcamps are Government funded training programmes available to eligible adults (19+). If you are applying as an individual there is no fee. If your employer is sponsoring you they will be required to make a contribution. See Skills Bootcamps page on our website for further details.
