COURSE OVERVIEW
The main aim of Japanese for Beginners is to learn the basic knowledge of the language, etiquette, as well as find out more about the fascinating culture and traditions.
Examples of topics covered during this course.
- Essential conversations for travelling.
- Learning the basic grammar.
- Learning to express yourself.
- Making questions and understanding responses.
- Getting to know the common signs.
- Learning some Japanese characters
By the end of the course, you should feel more confident in your ability to understand and speak Japanese at a basic level. We hope you enjoy the journey and wish you much success in your studies!
This course starts on Wednesday 15 January 2025 (19:00 – 21:00)
Please note: this course will not run in the college half term or end of term breaks.
FURTHER INFORMATION
If enrolling for Beginners 2 (January-March 2025) you do not have to have completed Beginners 1 with us, however you will need 20 hours of previous study of the language in an adult setting, or previous learning of a similar length.
Your tutor will advise you on options for further study of the language.
Continuous classroom assessment based on Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement (RARPA).
