COURSE OVERVIEW
This is an ideal course for aspiring senior leaders or those who have recently been appointed to that role.
Past students have used this course to support a large project. with the support of the tutor to challenge ideas and encourage wider thinking.
You will study one unit to achieve this Institute of Leadership and Management Certificate:
Unit 8618-21 Unit 700 Developing Leadership and Management Capability through Enquiry
Assessment: Enquiry-based project
Unit Purpose and Aims: To develop the cognitive and behavioural skills necessary to undertake a robust data-driven enquiry in complex environments to demonstrate the learner’;s impact upon leadership and management in a given context.
Community of practice: the learner should engage with at least one community of practice from the outset to get the most benefit to support their enquiry-based project.
Level 7 study: you will be expected to use recognised models and/or theories relevant to your enquiry; you would be expected to justify your choice of models and any adaptation you have made to them. Remember a Level 7 study means that you will be learning at the equivalent level to a master’;s degree. Therefore, be prepared to be challenged on your work and thinking at every stage.
FURTHER INFORMATION
The ideal candidate is someone who has studied a Level 5 management qualification such as the Operations Manager apprenticeship or ILM or CMI diplomas for managers.
After completing this course you can upgrade your membership of the ILM and have letters after your name, and have a Level 7 management qualification on your CV.
There are three Learning Outcomes for which you can choose to produce a range of documentation to communicate your plans: produce a range of reports, webinars, project plans, graphs, tables, recordings, presentations etc.

The course costs £2,500. including the ILMN registration and certification fee. You wil be registered as a student member of the ILM.
