COURSE OVERVIEW
This is a foundation level apprenticeship for any learner new to the world of people practice or wishing to return to academic life after a break. The apprenticeship and CIPD Foundation certificate in People Practice are delivered simultaneously. Apprentices will learn about the knowledge, skills and behaviours associated with effective people management.
The HR Support Level 3 apprenticeship provides an ideal route for motivated individuals to begin their professional journey in People Practice. Throughout this 13-month programme, you will gain practical skills and insight into how the People function supports an organisation, its culture and people -; as well as developing a deep understanding of how your role supports colleagues as well as overall businesses goals.
The course runs on a Wednesday evening 4.30-8.30pm face to face at Chichester College OR on Thursday afternoon from 1-5pm online ONLY -; these times include apprentice tutorials.
Induction dates: week commencing 08/09/2025 and 23/02/2026
Programme length 13 months, assessment 3 months

The entry requirement is to hold maths and English GCSE at 4 or above.
This apprenticeship is for anyone working in an HR role within a company whose job role meets the course specification.

You will be assessed through work based assignments and complete an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of the course, this consists of a project and a professional discussion.
There is no cost to an apprentice.
If you are an employer employing an apprentice over the age 21 (without an EHCP) then you are likely to pay 5% towards the training cost.
If you are an employer with an Apprenticeship levy (i.e. your payroll exceeds ÂŁ3 Million) then you will pay in full from your levy account.
You will need to be a student member of the CIPD for the duration of the apprenticeship. Cost of membership is approx. ÂŁ145.00. This will need to be in place by the end of week 4 of the course.
