COURSE OVERVIEW
This course aims to advance creative students in a wide range of drawing, painting and lino cutting disciplines and is ideal for anyone wanting to develop their artistic skills that has come from a basic art background and for anyone wanting to develop their artistic skills that has come from a basic art background.
You will learn how to hand print your design onto paper and collaged background.
You can create:
- A repeat pattern paper design.
- A collaged print.
- A print for framing.
This course aims to enhance the confidence and pleasure of drawing/painting and lino printing in a relax environment. There will be the opportunity to work from using still life and natural form or from photos. This course covers a broad range of processes and techniques that every artist should know. You will learn a range of skills and techniques through painting and drawing and printing, on this course you will cover the following core areas:
You will be taught how to use mixed media, line and wash, composition arrangement, how to use the materials and printing techniques safely and experiment with a variety of cutting techniques, texture and mark-making techniques and collaging before you produce your final black and white print design.
You can choose to attend this class on Tuesday or Thursday evenings- dates below:

FURTHER INFORMATION
This course would appeal to artists who have a basic background knowledge but are looking to further their skills and knowledge to enhance a portfolio or just for enjoyment.
Continuous classroom assessment based on Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement (RARPA).
Course fees: £172
For the first session you will need to bring:
- A3 Sketchbook
- Pen
- Rubber
- Pencil sharpener
- Notebook
- A range of pencils
- Lino printing ink
- Lino (easy cut lino can be brought from Amazon x2 A4)
- Natural form printed images (some will be provided)
For the second session you will need to purchase a basic art kit (advice on content will be provided in the first session).
