COURSE OVERVIEW
This introductory course will allow learners to develop their confidence in the digital skills they need for everyday life and work.
The following topics will be covered:
- Using a digital device, search engines and handling information
- Creating and editing documents, images, audio and video
- Communicating using email and other online communication tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WhatsApp)
- Paying for items and services online
- Being safe and responsible online
FURTHER INFORMATION
This course is ideal for those who are fairly new to using computers and digital devices such as smartphones and tablets.
It is also suitable for those who are self-taught and have never had any formal training. People who want a brief introduction in Microsoft Office, which is the most utilised software in the workplace.
There are no formal entry requirements.
You can join the Computing for Improvers course to further develop your skills.
You will complete a number of activities and develop a portfolio of work which will be assessed by your tutor.
