The Institute for Learning (IfL) is a professional body for teachers, trainers, tutors, student teachers and assessors in the further education sector.
The 2007 regulations mean that teachers, trainers, tutors and student teachers in the further education and skills sector have to register with the IfL and conduct continuing professional development (CPD).
New teachers will need to:
- Register with the IfL
- Undertake a teacher training programme
- Undertake CPD
