About the course

The UAL Level 3 Diploma in Music Performance and Production focuses on the development of skills directly relating to working in the music industry, providing students with the knowledge and experience necessary to progress to further study, training and/or employment.

The landscape of the music industry is continually evolving, as are the skills required to work within it. Professionals are expected to be adaptable, with experience in relevant and up to date technology and knowledge of the various music industry models.

This course responds to these current trends by providing you with the opportunity to explore a range of disciplines, allowing you to refine and develop your musicianship, whilst expanding your composition and production skills. All of the work is connected to the application of these skills within the industry.

By the end of the course you will know performance skills, song writing, music sequencing, studio production, sampling and synthesis, music business, self-promotion and social media marketing.
Using these specific skills, you could find yourself becoming a Performer, Song Writer, Music Composer or Producer/Record and Mixing Engineer.
