COURSE OVERVIEW
T Levels are qualifications that follow after GCSEs and are studied at Level 3 as an alternative to A Level. This is a two year course studying Law which combines classroom theory and practical learning. Any student studying the Legal Services T Level will be gaining insight into multiple areas of law, finding out about the legal profession and completing at least 315 hours working with an employer as part of the industry placement requirement.
We will study the English Legal System, Tort Law, Criminal law and aspects of Business and Company Law together with how each topic can be applied within industry. We will examine real life cases and consider the impact of legislation which governs the laws we must follow. You will be conducting legal research and take part in regular assessments and activities which require you to advise on the law in a variety of situations. Problem solving is a big part of studying Law and you will take part in interactive sessions, case studies and encouraged share your industry placement knowledge.
This is suitable for anyone who is looking to go into the legal profession, has a genuine passion or interest in Law or for those who want to know what studying Law is all about.
FURTHER INFORMATION
A minimum of five GCSE passes at grade 4 or above which must include English and Maths. We also recognise any equivalent qualifications such as a Level 2 Diploma which must be at Merit standard.
After completing the Legal Service T Level, a student has multiple options available to them.
T Levels are recognised by universities and as this two year T Level is equivalent to completing three A Levels, a student can be confident that with the right achievement, they can gain entry to university to continue studying Law or another degree if they wish.
Apprenticeship could be an option a student may wish to consider if they want to continue gaining industry experience whilst studying, completing the course will allow students to enter a Paralegal, Conveyancing or Probate Apprenticeship at Level 4. Students can also gain entrance onto the CILEX professional qualification once the T Level has been completed.
Alternatively, students can go and seek employment either in a business or admin related role in a legal environment.
You will be assessed through exams and employer set projects for both Year 1 and Year 2.
