COURSE OVERVIEW
Developed in conjunction with universities and clinics this course provides an engaging context led approach to the development of scientific and medical knowledge and skills, plus enables learners to understand and assess real-world medical problems and challenges. By placing emphasis on the development of good practical skills, students will learn how to monitor human health and disease within the modern healthcare industry.
The Certificate is studied in Year 1 and the Diploma in Year 2. The full diploma is equivalent to a full A-level with the same UCAS points attached.

Suitable to study alongside other A Level subjects, both Science and non Science, such as A-levels in Psychology, Sociology, P.E. and many more

5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above to include Maths and English. Grade 5 in two individual sciences to include Biology or 55 in Combined Science.
*NB Cannot be studied alongside A Level Biology.
Highly suitable for a career in the healthcare industry. This course can be studied alongside 2 A levels for progression to University courses such as: Nursing, Paramedic Science or Sports Science
This qualification is assessed through 50% coursework and 50% exam. In the first year you will have two coursework modules and one exam module (Human Health and Disease). In the second year the Medical Case Study module is examined.
You will be required to buy your own textbooks, stationary and any subject-related equipment, e.g. a Lab Coat (£16 purchased through college) & calculator.
