ILM 8421-31 L5 Dip for Operational Managers and Leaders
COURSE OVERVIEW
Equivalent to a foundation degree, this new diploma is an essential course for middle managers. The seven units are covered in two years: Personal & Professional Development; Communication Skills; Managing Teams; Business Planning; Operational Planning & Management; Financial Practices and Project Planning.
Delivered by subject specialist tutors over 19-months in term time via monthly face-to-face workshops (at Chichester College) and remote monthly tutorials, via MS Teams.
FURTHER INFORMATION
A middle manger in a suitable job role, who holds a Level 3 management qualification, but not a Level 5. This course helps build your skills at this level, by applying management theories and models to the workplace; you will gather evidence to prove your competence in all of the seven units.
Progression is to the ILM Level 7 Award Leadership and Management or to the Level 7 Senior Manager apprenticeship. You are able to join the ILM as an Associate member and use letters after your name:

You will be assessed by subject specialist lecturers on your assignments, reports, presentations, professional discussions throughout the course to build a portfolio of evidence (recorded on Onefile.)
