Do you want to learn the latest business skills that employers are looking for now, while working on your personal development and gaining your degree?
Chichester College’;s BA (Hons) Business Top-up Degree is accredited by the University of Chichester. It provides the opportunity for Higher National Diploma and Foundation degree students to develop their academic and research skills to achieve a full degree at Chichester College whilst working and/or balancing other commitments.
This qualification has been designed with employers and based on current and future industry requirements to ensure that graduates are well-rounded, have good business acumen and can apply learning to the rapidly changing business environment. As a result, the qualification focuses on developing student’;s practical application of business and management theories, concepts and models to real business scenarios and build resilience within the business environment. This qualification has been designed with students to achieve maximum flexibility and varied teaching methods through a ‘blended learning’; approach. There are no lectures on the programme, instead there are interactive sessions, online resources/tasks, work placement, independent research and 1:1 support. Our focus is to help you develop a real understanding of business in context and provide you with a supportive ‘practice ground’; before progressing your career.

You would typically have a Higher National Diploma or Foundation Degree in Business with 240 credits.
We recognise that learning can be achieved in many ways and it may be possible to enter the programme with evidence of relevant prior learning at level 5/6.
Students who graduate with a business degree have a range of options including:
- Continuing in education to Masters Level
- Graduate careers with local / national employers
- Specialising in a specific function such as Marketing, HR, Operations Management and Project Management
The course uses a variety of assessment methods (report, professional discussion, presentation, portfolio and timed assessment) to ensure you graduate with well-rounded business skills and can apply theory in practice. Each module sets out the required assessment which usually consists of one to two assessment methods. You will be required to complete an in depth business research project (dissertation) to explore a key area of business / management of your choice
