Lecturer in Animal Care (maternity cover)

You will deliver high quality teaching and learning in a wide range of Animal Care subjects, designing lessons according to individual student needs. With experience in the animal care industry you will be a team player with the ability to be innovative in your approach to both teaching and learning and be able to manage a diverse range of students.

The successful candidate will have a Level 3 Animal Care or Veterinary Nursing Qualification.

A teaching qualification equivalent to the Certificate in Education is desirable.

This post is fixed term for up to 6 months, or the return, resignation or replacement of the current post holder, whichever is sooner.

Associate Lecturer in 14-16

Hours per week: Variable - maximum 14
Weeks per year: 52
Salary: £17.02 - £29.88 per hour
Location: Chichester/Brinsbury Campus

The 14-16 curriculum team need a number of Associate Lecturer bank staff to support the delivery of the general curriculum in the Freshstart provision. Freshstart aims to deliver dynamic and exciting lessons to re-engaged pre-16 students back into education. The students have a range of individual support needs including emotional and behavioural challenges, ADHD and are disengaged and disinterested in education and who find a college environment more appropriate for their educational needs.

The bank staff need to be able to teach across a general curriculum of English, Maths, ICT and Personal and Social Development and could also be required to deliver Art or Sports lessons as well.

Successful candidates will be self motivated, good communicators and have the ability to manage students with challenging behaviour.

14-16 Freshstart Co-ordinator

Salary: £20,122 - £21,992 per annum
Location: Chichester Campus
Closing date: 06/02/2012
The 14-16 team are looking for a passionate individual who has experience in working with challenging young people and the ability to motivate and re-focus disengaged students back into education.

Your primary role will be to support the successful inclusion of young people into college life. You will need to build and maintain excellent working relationships between college and key partners and have a flexible approach to dealing with young vulnerable students.

You will have proven organisation and communication skills, with the ability to work with challenging young people responding positively to their changing needs, whilst supporting the successful development of the 14-16 provision as a whole.

This is a fixed term contract until 21 December 2012.
