Introduction to TEFL
This is an introduction of Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). It is of interest to anyone considering teaching or to those organising or hosting activities for foreign students.
The course gives an overview of important elements of teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and the needs of international students.
Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA)
The University of Cambridge CELTA provides an initial teacher training qualification in teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), aimed at people with no teaching experience or teachers with no experience of TEFL.
The course has full University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations Teaching Awards status. As such, it has worldwide recognition and acceptance.

Entry Requirements
- 19 years old or over.
- At least two A levels or equivalent (Preferably a degree also).
- Applicants whose first language is not English must have a command of spoken and written English equivalent to that of an educated native speaker.
The Certificate is awarded to candidates successfully fulfilling the assessments which take the form of:
- Teaching practice.
- Written work.
- Course participation.
Application Procedure for Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and Payment of Fees:

2. If you are short-listed, you will be required to attend an interview.
3. If you are offered a place on the course and accept, you will need to confirm your acceptance in writing and send a £100 (non-refundable) deposit.
4. The balance of fees is due no later than 6 weeks before the course start.
Refunds cannot be given after course start date or within 10 working days of the course start date.
