Facing the risk, or reality of redundancy?
We know that being made redundant can be a very stressful time in anyone’s life. We can help with our flexible approach to getting you back to work, and can make sure your CV is put in front of relevant employers in the area.
If you are aged 18+ and in the South East Region, we can work with you and can offer new training paths to make sure your job application is seriously considered, either if you’re applying for jobs in your existing industry, or if you decide to switch direction. We can show you what you would need to study to maximise your chances of a new job. You may just need to update your qualifications or skills but, whether you work on the shop floor, production line or are in senior management, talk to us; we can offer you the support and advice you need to get back on track with your career.
Email our Response to Redundancy Project team if you’d like to discuss your situation. Or call 01243 786321 ext 2554.

Re-training and interview tips
Our BTEC in Workskills takes just one week to complete and gives you essential tips on how to apply for a job, excellent interview tips and how to prepare yourself to make sure you impress at that all important opportunity. But that’s not all; we also offer you a range of modules giving you some basic, experience in areas which you may not have already covered in your studies. For instance, take the catering and hospitality business: you can study an NCFE L2 in Nutrition and Health, a City and Guilds L2 Certificate in Food Safety or a L2 Award in Food Safety in Catering, all essential qualifications if you want to pursue a career in this fast moving industry. Or, if event management is more your thing, we can take you through a NCFE L2 Certificate for Event Stewards, or a BII for Door Supervisors.
Our IT offer covers L2 Clait modules, or if you want to be a high flying manager, how about getting a L3 in Managing Equality and Diversity or a L2 Conflict Management under your belt?
Maybe you want to work with children? Our two 7 hour workshops lead to a NCFE L2 certificate in Safeguarding Children and Young People or you could study for a City and Guilds L2 certificate in Adult Learner Support which runs over 15 weeks. You can train in areas of construction, business and management, even engineering.
Our wide range of work related courses are constantly being added to so, whatever it is you might like to brush up on or add to your CV, speak to us. We work closely with our local Job Centre Plus scheme whose personal advisors are there to help and you can study at any of our campuses, both at Chichester or Brinsbury or indeed often at our outreach centres in Bognor or Littlehampton.
We often hear about jobs in our area as employers use us for a myriad of training needs so we’re well placed to recommend students on our Work Focused Training courses.
