Student Homestay Accommodation in the UK - Half board

Homestay means that you will live in a house with the owner and family. This accommodation is available to all students on full-time courses. Students in homestay accommodation can specify whether they wish to be in a smoking or non-smoking household. Students may also specify whether they wish to be in student homestay accommodation with or without pets or children.

Facilities

You will share the facilities in the house you stay in with the rest of the occupants.

Catering

Your breakfast and evening meal during the week is provided but you will need to provide your own lunch. At the weekend you will have breakfast, lunch and dinner provided. These meals are included in the price of the accommodation.

Laundry

Laundry should be included in the price of your accommodation though it is worth while bearing in mind that this is not always the case.

Accommodation payment

Rent is all-inclusive, paid weekly and always one week in advance. A retainer fee of no more than 25% covers the cost of storing your possessions and ensures your exclusive retention of your room during the college holidays.

Student Homestay Accommodation in the UK- Self-catering

Self-catering homestay accommodation means that you live in a house with the owner and family having the freedom of cooking for yourself. This student homestay accommodation is available to all students over 17 years old, on a full-time course. 

Facilities

You will share the facilities in the house with the rest of the occupants.

Laundry is also the student's responsibility, although the owner's facilities are usually available.

Most homestay vacancies are for 1 or 2 students per household. Chichester College guarantees that there will be no more than four students per homestay.
