The focus of classes is on general English Language aimed at improving your grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary as well as the skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. Upon arrival you will be given a test and placed in a class suitable for your level of English. You will be given a course book, which you must bring with you to each class. There is a strong emphasis on communication and you will regularly be given homework and tests in order to monitor your progress.
All EU students complete a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in English Language. This qualification focuses on using English in situations that students encounter everyday whilst living and working in an English speaking country.
Morning classes are every weekday (Monday - Friday) from 9.15am to 12.30pm, with a fifteen minute break between 10.45am and 11.00am. Afternoon classes are between 1.30pm and 4.15pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, with a fifteen minute break from 2.30pm to 2.45pm.
One afternoon a week you will be able to follow a course of your choice. The following are a few of the afternoon courses you can choose from depending upon your level of English:
