Chichester College International Art and Design Foundation Programme

 Art Foundation Course display 2011This one year intensive Art and Design Foundation Programme is specifically designed for international students to enable them to gain the skills required to develop a strong  portfolio and be successful on a degree programme at a UK university.

This programme is for students who have completed two years of senior high school or equivalent and have achieved IELTS 4.5 or equivalent.

During the first term of this intensive programme students concentrate on developing their drawing skills and creativity. They will have an introduction to many aspects of art and design and in the second term choose an area to specialise in. Students concentrate on completing an individual project and their portfolios in the third term.

Students have individualised timetables and receive a high degree of personal support from their teachers in selecting and developing their areas of specialisation.

  • Textiles and Surface Design
  • Sketchbook and Design Development
  • Critical and Contextual studies

Students receive expert advice from their tutor and staff in choosing appropriate university courses to apply for. Progression to excellent art departments of well known universities has been established from this programme and there is further information on the course information sheet.
