Apprenticeship in Professional Cookery

This framework is designed to provide your organisation with skilled staff in kitchen work. It includes preparing, cooking and finishing of, meat, poultry, fish, hot and cold sauces, deserts, vegetables, soups, bread. Teaching of food safety. Increasing knife skills.

Qualification and Awarding Body

Professional cookery level 2 and level 3 through City and Guilds.

Who is it for? 

Level 2 Apprenticeship is suitable for staff in kitchen porter, demi chef de partie, chef de partie, commis chef roles. Level 3 is suitable for chef de partie, commis chef, sous chef and head chef roles.

Are Adult Apprenticeships available?

Yes, 16-65 year olds are considered

Where will the training take place?

Chichester Campus and in the workplace

When will the Apprenticeship start?

September and January

How long will it take?

9-24 months
